There are no prerequisites and reasons for me to change my team, it is good and we continue to work. This is what Georgi Gvozdeikov told bTV.
"I chose to take a statesmanship approach instead of securing a comfortable political career. This was the reason why I remained a minister and in my official position. I received a call from Mr. Glavchev and after a conversation with him, he offered me to stay," added the Minister of Transport.
According to him, politics should do good for people. In the transport sector, there are important projects that are financed under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. In some respects, we are late and may lose funds if we do not comply.
"The modernization of BDZ should happen by 2026. a contractor has already been selected for part of this activity, a new tender procedure for a new delivery of 35 new locomotives is to be conducted. If this does not happen, we will not be able to modernize rail transport. I believe that my team can complete this important work," said Gvozdeikov.
According to him, 10% of the funds under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan will go to the modernization of the BDZ.
Gvozdeikov said that he spoke with Kiril Petkov and informed him that he had received an invitation to participate in the official cabinet. However, the PP leader was emotional and did not understand his motives, but tried to dissuade him.
"You will not hear a bad word from my mouth about my colleagues from the PP, about Kiril Petkov or Asen Vassilev," added Gvozdeikov.
