Sociologist: The official government is like an orphan, everyone distances themselves from it - 1

This government looks more and more like an "orphan" to me, the president very clearly distanced himself from it, later the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov said that the service government is dominated by persons connected with the office "Denkov-Gabriel". The leader of the PP also distanced himself from him, while the BSP announced that he was a GERB cabinet, etc. No one wants to take responsibility for him. This is how the sociologist Elena Darieva commented to Euronews Bulgaria about the office led by Dimitar Glavchev.

With the changes in the Constitution, the aim was to limit the powers of the president, but something else was achieved, Darieva added.

According to her, with the functioning of the National Assembly during an election campaign, "we risk that the parliamentary tribune will turn into an election forum that will be in the low register. The tone will intensify as the campaign progresses," the sociologist believes.

In her opinion, Bulgarian society did not want early elections. "At the moment, we are observing disgust and withdrawal of people from participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections,", she said.

According to the journalist Petko Georgiev, the official cabinet is rather an "illegitimate child - government of DPS and GERB, rather of the one-man union between Peevski and Borisov." However, his parents do not want to recognize him.

"I assume that the president will agree to release Zhivko Kotsev from the position of chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but focusing on this particular dispute distracts us from the more important picture - to realize that in the specific political situation and after the next elections, this type of government can rule us to infinity," Georgiev pointed out.

In his words, "there is no constitutional model that cannot be misused, and in Bulgarian society anger is accumulating between its own and foreigners.
