Tsvetan Tsvetanov: The most direct path of the mafia to organized crime is career growth in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - 1

"Zhivko Kotsev and all these shots that came out in the public space are reprehensible, and I think that here with the proposal that has been made, I think that the president will have to make an objective decision, but what will it be, maybe will show his decision very soon", said the former interior minister and leader of Republicans for Bulgaria Tsvetan Tsvetanov to BNT.

"I think that his assessment is very clear, negative and that in fact he would not have appointed Kalin Stoyanov as a minister and perhaps he would not have left Zhivko Kotsev as the chief secretary. And I think that the president would comply with this request, which was submitted by the acting prime minister, but I also think that it is inadmissible for Kalin Stoyanov to remain as a political figure in the Ministry of Internal Affairs", he added.

According to him, the most direct path of the mafia to organized crime is career growth in the system
of the Ministry of the Interior of similar personnel, as we see at the moment and what we have as a political or professional management in the Ministry of the Interior.

The former interior minister said that difficult periods await us for the system of the Ministry of the Interior.

„People still have a feeling that everything is a confrontation on a political basis. Not so much for the professional and moral qualities of the employees and the management personnel, as for the political mastery and the transformation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs into a political club in connection with every adjourned or regular parliamentary vote.
