Radoslav Rybarski for "Botash": The facts of the inspection are extremely worrying - 1

The commission is examining a large volume of documents for three months. The facts presented in the report are worrying. This is what he said in the show "More from the day" on BNT, the MP from "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria" Radoslav Rybarski, who is also a member of the parliamentary committee that completed the review of the 13-year contract between "Bulgargaz" and the Turkish company "Botash", concluded by the caretaker government of Galab Donev in early 2023.

All parties saw what really happened in this agreement. Some capacities of a large volume of gas, reserved by "Bulgargaz", which are not used in any form, are paid for. For the whole of 2023, out of a possible 14 ships with natural gas to be delivered, one and a half ships have actually been delivered, said Ribarski.

The requested capacity is extremely large for our needs. We pay in full for the volume that is booked, there is no flexibility to the actual deliveries we make, we pay about half a million dollars a day regardless of whether we use the capacity, he added.

We are checking extremely worrying data that in one of the months gas capacity was pledged, which was not delivered, but is included in KEVR's gas prices for the corresponding month. If this turns out to be true, it means that people in our country were harmed for the corresponding month, emphasized the MP from "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria.

The effect is that currently "Bulgargaz" is losing market share, the prices it offers are becoming uncompetitive, noted Radoslav Ribarski.

He clarified that the contract with "Botash" is concluded in such a way that even if terminated, fees must be paid for the entire 13-year period, which would result in a huge penalty.
