By order of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, Maria Angelieva and Colonel Nevyana Miteva were appointed as deputy ministers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , reported the government information service.
Maria Angelieva is a lawyer by education. She was a national representative in the 39th and 40th National Assembly. In the period from July 2014 to August 2020, he was the head of the consular service at the Bulgarian Embassy in London. From November 2020 to the present, she held the position of Minister Plenipotentiary in the Office for Trade and Economic Affairs at the same embassy.
Colonel Nevyana Miteva is responsible for international contacts in the office of the Chief of the General Staff of the Bulgarian Army in the period from 2007 to 2009. In the Ministry of Defense, she was the chief expert in the department “Bilateral cooperation and regional initiatives” in the “Defense Policy” Directorate, and from 2017 until now he is a colonel in the “Social Policy” Directorate. and is responsible for the implementation of national and international policies related to the implementation of the “Women, peace and security” agenda. (WPS). She was the Chair of the NATO Gender Equality Committee (NCGP) in the period 2015-2017.
