President Radev must issue a decree to replace the ministers proposed by me, but I am ready for dialogue. If he does not comply with my suggestions, the responsibility will be his. This was stated by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.
"The responsibility for the ministers I propose is entirely mine. If anyone has other views on the matter, whoever thwarts my proposed changes will be held accountable. I have always been in contact with the president, we have communicated when needed," he emphasized.
A week after the cabinet was sworn in, the caretaker prime minister asked to replace two ministers. Glavchev insists that diplomat number one Stefan Dimitrov cede his post to Daniel Mitov. The request came three hours after Boyko Borisov insisted on it.
A day later, the prime minister also demanded the resignation of Agriculture Minister Kiril Vatev. For the changes to become effective, however, a presidential decree is needed. It has not yet been issued, and the head of state requested a meeting with Glavchev to discuss the reasons for the castings.
