Denkov: Kiril Petkov broke the table in Borisov's office because he started telling some lies - 1

" Every day was a struggle. This idyll, which they try to put on us like a fog - how we used to get along very well, is complete nonsense. This is the truth. The broken table story you've heard, I was there. Kiril Petkov broke the table in Borisov's office because Borisov started telling some lies. Every day we fought to be able to walk the path that was important to us.

This is what former Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov says in an interview for "Free Europe", quoted by novini.bg.

The story of Kiril Petkov's angry outburst was first told by GERB leader Boyko Borisov with the words: “GERB has one leader, I do not accept meeting with 5-6 people and then listening to them on TV to croak. I don't want such a meeting, because they behave rudely, and Kiril Petkov breaks bottles and glasses on the table. I don't want such a meeting".
"It was a big surprise for us that it turned out that Peevski had operationally taken over the leadership of GERB. We are going to a meeting with Borisov and he is standing next to him. "Already at the first meetings with Borisov, he invited him. During those months, 80% of the time the conversation was with Peevski, not with Borisov," says Denkov.

He also notes what the agreement was: "Our agreement with GERB was that we would manage with them. Peevski should have appeared where two-thirds are needed to see how to secure the changes to the constitution, discussions about part of the regulators, etc."

When asked whether from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" asked Borisov why this was happening, Denkov replied that at the beginning of the interaction with him, he was told once or twice that this was strange.
