"My cause is the presidential republic. I will not run for MEP or MP for the National Assembly. We are at the end of the parliamentary republic and the constitutional crisis is a fact". This was stated by MEP Ivo Hristov to BNT.
According to him, this cabinet is nobody's business, since neither the parliament elected it, nor the president appointed it, which is the most dangerous breach in the new constitution.
"This cabinet will become a behind-the-scenes cabinet, I mean the entire set of corporate, lobbyist and external influences that can direct the policies of this government,'' added Ivo Hristov.
"Everyone is quarreling with everyone about something, there is an accumulated critical mass of infighting, between ideological incompatibilities, lobbyist conflicts, which makes them impossible to assemble. They were assembled together under external influence, but even that failed to strengthen the assembly", Ivo Hristov commented.
"I am glad that my colleagues in the European Parliament were united and consistent with my colleagues against the war in Ukraine. "Social causes are common, but they do not help to solve the war crisis," Hristov also said.
"The aid the US is preparing for Ukraine will prolong the carnage. Europe also took the wrong path - without solving the puzzle, with the green deal it messed up business", Hristov believes.
