The leading topic in the Parliament today is whether Rosen Zhelyazkov will be removed from the post of Speaker of the National Assembly in his penultimate term day, BNT reported.
PP-DB and BSP filed a request for early release of Zhelyazkov for his overall behavior as head of the institution and for systematic failure to implement the legislative program.
According to PP-DB, Zhelyazkov abuses power and authority, and works in the interest of the GERB-DPS political bloc. Earlier, the resignation of the Speaker of the Parliament was also demanded from "Vazrazhdane" with a specific motive - the point for the vote of no confidence in the official government was not allowed with the argument that it does not correspond to the Constitution.
GERB and DPS did not take seriously the request for the resignation of the speaker of the National Assembly in the last hours of his work. Boyko Borisov defined it as emotional outbursts, while Delyan Peevski defined it as populism.
