"A conversation with us was requested by Vanya Grigorova, we did not initiate Vanya Grigorova's participation in the elections, she wished to speak with us. We had two conversations of two and a half hours. Our understandings were not accepted, we were offered conditions that are unacceptable to us". This was stated by the chairman of the coalition council of the "Left" Kostadin Pascalev in "This morning" on bTV.
"There are three main points on which we disagreed – the desire of Vanya Grigorova to make individual decisions regarding the policy, priorities and staffing of the representation of the "Left"; in the elections", explained Pascalev.
In his words "The Left" did not initiate talks with Vanya Grigorova about participation in the parliamentary elections due to the fact that the process for electing a mayor in the capital has not been completed.
"We still have to conclude this legal process. When you have legal proceedings and you have initiated it, you have to wait for its end. She said that the Metropolitan Municipality was narrow for her as a place to implement policy or with the tools available to the Municipal Council, it could not achieve these goals , which was formulated", Pascalev said.
In his words, the process of uniting the "Left" is in the future and unfortunately – not now.
"Maya Manolova has always been in the 'Left', on the eve of the upcoming elections she preferred to hold independent talks with other subjects, they created a coalition and two political subjects participate in it, who were invited to the talks with us. I have maintained a good relationship with both Maya Manolova and Vanya Grigorova, we have never come to a situation where we say harsh words to each other. But I have always argued that in politics, until we learn to speak the truth, nothing good awaits us, said the chairman of the coalition council of the Left. Kostadin Pascalev.
