Due to a landslide, the road between the Svishtov villages of Pavel and Sovata is closed to traffic, reported the press center of the Regional Police Directorate in Veliko Tarnovo, BTA reported.
The mass of mud has slid onto the roadway due to the intense amounts of rain that fell in the Veliko Tarnovo region over the last 24 hours, and is impeding the movement of cars. The road will remain closed until it is cleaned, the police said.
Drivers can use a bypass route through the villages of Varzulutsa, Alekovo and Kozlovets.
