Political scientist Prof. Svetoslav Malinov said that PP-DB are struggling to get some of their votes back. My sense is that the campaign is sluggish, but where will new energy come from? There is no new political player on the scene, with very few new faces. There is not a particularly great desire for new people to get involved in politics.
This is what Prof. Malinov commented to bTV, quoted by Epicenter.
According to him, there are no big names who want to participate in the elections. Prof. Malinov does not expect any smaller formation to enter the parliament and be a key factor. However, he is of the opinion that up to 8 parties can enter the 50th National Assembly.
Prof. Svetoslav Malinov does not expect a higher voter turnout than the previous elections.
He also commented on the protest of the professors in the universities. Prof. Malinov explained that one of the successes of the caretaker government is that it managed to deal with the protest of the academic community. With such a system, which is directly dependent on state funding, we do not have a great opportunity to increase income, although there is a serious opportunity to increase teachers' salaries, Prof. Malinov pointed out.
According to him, the quality of education at Sofia University increases every year.
The political scientist Stoicho Stoichev pointed out that there will not be an effective strike as a strike, but there will be readiness for it if the promise to them is not fulfilled.
Stoychev pointed out that there could be between 6 and 8 parties in the next parliament. If there are more parties, it is easier to make a majority.
According to him, the protest vote can hardly be won by some political parties. The protest vote will be realized between "I support no one" or it will not be realized at all.
