The head of the Metropolitan Municipal Council blamed Fandakova for the closure of the Simeonovsky lift

"I consider the lack of timely communication with the citizens about the reorganization of traffic along "Patriarch Evtimiy" Blvd. and "Vitosha" Blvd. as a weakness. Parking spaces are perhaps the biggest problem of the reorganization. We are looking for solutions to enable people to park", comments Tsvetomir Petrov on the change in traffic in the city center

The head of the Metropolitan Municipal Council blamed Fandakova for the closure of the Simeonovsky lift - 1

„The credit for the closure of the Simeon lift is largely due to the carelessness and inaction of the previous administration . The main culprit here is Yordanka Fandakova. Let her tell why and how it got here.“
This is what he said in the show “This morning” the chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council (SOC) Tsvetomir Petrov in connection with the news that the Simeonov lift will officially no longer function.

According to him, in 2007, when the sale of ropeways to “Vitosha Ski” was prepared, before she became mayor of Sofia, Fandakova was part of the Sofia Municipal Privatization Agency. br /> Tsvetomir Petrov also explained that this agency started the sale, prepared all the documentation, signed the contract and carried out the actual sale. And the contract is extremely damaging to the municipality and there are no mechanisms for it to act to get the lifts back.
„After that, Fandakova became mayor. And apparently, for years, he does absolutely no control, as soon as we get to the moment when everything stops working“, the SOS chairman also said.
„The Simeon lift has not been working since December, not yesterday. We knew there was a problem with the engine. We look for options and multi-layered solutions that solve multiple problems. The problem has been accumulating for 17 years. If the elevator was municipal, there would be no option to get here”, he added.

Petrov explained that the municipality is conducting serious talks with the owner of the lift in order to solve the problem.
In connection with the reorganization along the capital's boulevards “Vitosha” and “Patriarch Euthymius” the chairman of the SOS explained that the project has existed for many years and was included in many strategic documents for the development of Sofia
„I consider as a weakness the lack of timely communication with the citizens about the reorganization of the traffic on “Patriarch Euthymius“ Blvd. and Vitosha Blvd. Parking spaces are perhaps the biggest problem of the reorganization. We are looking for solutions to enable people to park, assured Tsvetomir Petrov.
