On the threshold of the summer season: The classic menu of fried sprats and draft beer ranges from BGN 8 to BGN 22 - 1

The summer season by the sea will officially open on June 1, but many of the waterfront establishments are already open. And this summer, the most ordered will be a portion of sprats, shop salad, beer and fried potatoes, Nova TV reported.

Fried sprat has been breaking records for orders in restaurants and coastal establishments for years, and this year it has increased in price by between one and three leva. It turns out that the cheapest this year is in Sarafovo, Burgas and Kraimorie.

"The most popular with us are sprats, potatoes, shopska, ribena, tripe. And the prices are pretty good, the soups have gone up by 20 cents, we don't have another promotion. A portion of sprat costs BGN 4", says Ani Valekova - manager of a coastal restaurant.

The sale of sprats per month varies, looking for the fish to be fresh.

Severin lives in Austria and compares the prices of the dishes he likes. He tells us that he has strict preferences.

"The soup varies between 5 and 10 euros, and the steak - between 40 and 60 euros, we cannot compare Bulgaria with Austria. It certainly matters where you stay, the difference can vary between 5 and 10 BGN per meal. So you have to be pretty well oriented where the expensive places are and where the cheap ones are," he thinks.

In another establishment, a portion of sprat is BGN 9 and the same weight, and fried small fish reaches BGN 15 in some places in Lozenets or Sveti Vlas, for example. The price of the Shop salad can be found from BGN 8.50 to BGN 16.

After sprat, draft beer is the most sold. On average, a coastal establishment sells nearly 14,000 liters per month, and the price of 500 ml of beer varies along the Black Sea between BGN 3.20 and BGN 7. The prices of pancakes remain unchanged, despite the increase in the price of eggs, milk and other consumables.

"We will not raise the prices because we are worried about losing our customers," says Neli Stoyanova - a pancake seller.

The trader Galin Yanev clarifies that over the last year prices have risen everywhere by 15-20%. "For between 7 and 12 BGN, a person can get a pancake or waffle. I don't think there will be any additional increase regardless of the fact that the price of electricity will rise," he pointed out.

The new hit this summer by the sea is bubble tea, which is most consumed by children. Its price varies between BGN 8 and BGN 11 along the Black Sea, and it is one of the cooling drinks that merchants prepare for the expected hot summer.
