The state should acquire Dimitar Talev's house in Prilep as soon as possible. This was stated in the Euronews Bulgaria studio by Victor Stoyanov from the "Macedonia" foundation. and one of the owners - Snezhana Acheska. Both however, they are not optimistic that this will happen.
According to Viktor Stoyanov, the Republic of North Macedonia is trying to stop the deal, and there are systematic acts of vandalism on the building. The house is not a cultural monument. I assume that they may cause obstacles for Bulgaria to acquire the building, pointed out Stoyanov.
"This is a source of Bulgarian memory. The Bulgarian society should realize whether these objects abroad are important for us", said Stoyanov.
Snezhana Acheska stated that she has no confidence in the Bulgarian state. She said that most of the building belongs to her - 10 rooms, and she does not rule out the possibility that the rest of the property, which belongs to another woman, could be acquired by the state.
"Almost the whole part of the house is fine, only one large room is destroyed. There is a lot of furniture that has been preserved," she explained. According to her, part of Dimitar Talev's legacy can be saved.
