State head Rumen Radev chose to vote by machine.
"Let us not forget that civic activism does not end with just going to the polls. This means that citizens remember what politicians promised and whether they fulfilled it. Then we will stop going to elections so often", said President Rumen Radev and emphasized that he hopes the Bulgarian parties have learned their lesson, quoted by Dariknews.bg
"Bulgarian politicians, albeit the hard way, have hopefully learned the hard lesson of putting public interests before their own and those of the party. This is a guarantee of stable management. Refusal to protect the national interest inevitably leads to personal and party delegitimization", the president also pointed out.
He did not want to comment on whether the interim government has managed the organization of the elections, as according to him the election day must pass. "There are always problems with some machines in elections, but machine voting is a barrier against the main problem in our elections, which is invalid ballots,", he pointed out.
"Before every election, party oracles scare with the president's party, just so that they can assemble their own assembly better later,", the president also stated. According to him, the leading principle should be the principle of a supra-party and expert program, based on national values.
