This is what political scientist Petar Cholakov told BNR.
According to him, it is not a real political opportunity for Boyko Borisov to return as Prime Minister.
"Rosen Zhelyazkov is an option. May Maria Gabriel's star rise. The restoration of the "GERB - DPS" model is an absolute fact. The protest wave ended with this restoration. The tsunami did not topple this model, which surfaced like Noah's Ark. Four years later, it turns out that we are treading in one place... Now another type of protest vote is emerging from formations that are not Euro-Atlantic - like "Revival". This is an anti-European wave, not just an anti-system one".
In his words, the results of the elections show that the experiment with Delyan Peevski and Jevdet Chakarov at the head of the DPS is rather successful, and the leadership position of Kornelia Ninova is cemented and "there are no grounds for drama in the BSP".
"There is growing discontent in the political system. On the one hand, there is low activity. Between 3 and 4% are "I do not support anyone", a strong protest vote. The temperature in the political system has risen. Nearly 70% of Bulgarian voters do not recognize themselves in what are launched as leading political entities. There is potential for another new messiah".
