Tenth-graders sit for matriculation examinations in Bulgarian and literature  - 1

Over 54,000 tenth-graders are expected to appear at today's national external assessment in Bulgarian language and literature, BTA reported. The exams will be held in 1017 schools. 13,853 quaestors are also engaged, the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) announced.

From 11:00 the exam of the national external assessment in Bulgarian language and literature begins. This year's test contains 21 tasks - two fewer than last year. The day is non-learning for students from all schools with elective sections.

On June 12 at 8:00 a.m. is the national external assessment exam in mathematics in the tenth grade. The test contains a total of 17 tasks, as last year. 15 of them are multiple choice. To solve the remaining two tasks with extended free response, the student presents the necessary justifications in writing. The day is educational.

The duration of both exams is 90 minutes. The results will be announced by June 28.

The national external evaluation of Bulgarian language and literature in the tenth grade remains on June 10, announced in April of this year the Acting Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Galin Tsokov, in an interview for the show "The Day Begins". on the Bulgarian National Television. Minister Tsokov specified then that the national external evaluation on June 10 will begin at a later start time because of the elections on June 9. The exam will be at 11:00 a.m. instead of the originally scheduled 8:00 a.m.

After the scheduling of the extraordinary parliamentary elections, as well as those for the European Parliament, an operational discussion was urgently held with all the Regional Directorates of Education in order to create an organization and, despite the vote, not to force a change in the originally set date, explained in April by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
