Vice President Iliana Yotova will open the General Assembly of the European League for Economic Cooperation, the press center of the presidency announced, BTA reported.
The forum is held under the patronage of the vice president and will be opened with the international conference "The future of the euro and the future of Bulgaria in the eurozone". The presidents of the national committees of the countries, part of the organization, as well as representatives of institutions and the financial sector will participate in the forum.
The European League for Economic Cooperation was established in 1946 with the status of an official consultative member of the Council of Europe as well as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. With its expert analyzes and reports, the league has an active role in the formation of European policies, added by “Dondukov" 2.
On April 12 of this year Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova, Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis and European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni signed in Luxembourg a Partnership Agreement between the EC and Bulgaria for organizing information and communication campaigns regarding the introduction of the euro in the country.< /p>
The document envisages coordinating the efforts of the Bulgarian and European authorities in order to increase public awareness of the functioning of the Economic and Monetary Union, as well as to support the smooth exchange of the leva with the euro.
