Petar Stoyanovich: Globally speaking, abroad is not better than in Bulgaria - 1

We live like average Western Europeans. Prof. Petar Stojanovic said this in the bTV studio.

„The nomadism – such as has been known since the Renaissance, is associated with something terrible, a person leaves his home to earn some bad money, to suffer. It is a martyr's fate – we leave familiar, comfortable and pleasant to go somewhere unkind, not miserable and unlovely. Is there a more terrible fate than this?“, he clarified.

Prof. Stojanovic believes that, globally speaking, abroad is no better than in Bulgaria. He is adamant that “everything nice, native and dear is here”, where naturally it is “poorer and more insignificant”, but it is also “warmer, sunnier and tastier”.< /p>

„The next big fallacy – because of the 50 years of totalitarianism and the impossibility of leaving our comfortable mother's nest, we accumulated impressions as visitors to “Korecom”. We thought that there were only nails and tahini halva in the KOP store, and in “Korecom” there are jeans, sneakers, chewing gum and all the other remarkable achievements of world democracy," he added.

Prof. Stojanovic also told how the life of a person who went to realize himself as a low-current engineer in London really looks like – he lives in a basement, eats cheap fish, on Saturdays and Sundays he goes to see other Bulgarians around the church or the Bulgarian school, he returns as a “Barovets“ in August, but is looking to get his teeth fixed because he can't do it in London.

„If a Bulgarian woman in labor is explained under what conditions she has the right to give birth in England, she will not move from the Kyustendil area. There is no choice of team, no anesthesia, no cesarean delivery and a number of other things, he also said.

According to him, the Bulgarian is not inclined to pay the high taxes in the western countries, there he cannot afford to have two cars or to go to the sea four times in the summer and at least two more times to ski in the winter.

„I'm not saying that that world is bad, but here it's good. We live well according to the average income and expenditure statistics. "We have the life of an average Western European," the professor is emphatic.
