Yesterday, police teams attacked two premises from a property located in the so-called “Maksuda“ quarter.
The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs found that in the house, there was a high-tech greenhouse for growing hemp, as well as rooms equipped for its subsequent processing.
During the search of the home, about 45 kg of semi-dry hemp was found. The drug greenhouse was equipped with all the requirements for growing marijuana. Systems were set up to control the temperature and humidity of the air, to ventilate the premises, preparations were used to stimulate growth and enrich the soil.
A 41-year-old man from Varna, with no criminal records to date, was detained at the scene for a period of 24 hours. A pre-trial proceeding was instituted in the case, under Art. 354a, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, the investigation of which continues under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office.
In recent months, this is the 18th drug greenhouse in the Varna region that the police discovered and neutralized. This is probably the largest concentration of such criminal activity on the territory of the country.
