A freight train hit a jeep at a railway crossing near the village of Polski Senovets, Veliko Tarnovo, NOVA reported.
The accident happened around 19:45 on the line Ruse - G. Oryahovitsa. A composition with tankers passed the jeep, which started to cross despite the prohibitory red signal.
A man and his 5-year-old granddaughter were traveling in the car. They are both unharmed. The car was hit on one side only.
The freight train had 24 tank cars pulled by two locomotives.
The movement of trains in the section was stopped.
