Nikolay Markov: There is no way for an "ordinary member" like Ivelin Mihailov to exclude MPs, he reacted emotionally - 1

Deputies from "Majesty" they will not be expelled from the party's parliamentary group without evidence that they have been bought. This became clear from the words of the chairman of the formation Nikolay Markov to Asen Genov, "Sega" reported.

Over the weekend, Ivelin Mihailov, creator and owner of the historical park in the village of Neofit Rilski, who is a leading figure in the party, announced that from the parliamentary group of "Velichie" 5-6 people may be excluded due to suspicion that they voted with GERB and DPS.

"There is a potential split in the party, this is outright betrayal. Yesterday's vote was a betrayal of the people. We can't vote for criminals. I spoke with nine of our MPs, who firmly said that they will not do such a thing, the others tell me that this is politics," Mihailov said.

On Friday, the deputies of "Majesty" provided 13 votes for the election of Anna Alexandrova as the head of the commission for changing the rules of the parliament. I.e. the entire PG of the party voted for her, not just 5-6 people. Apart from them, Alexandrova's candidacy was supported by GERB, DPS and three people from the group of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria". (PP-DB).

Currently "Majesty" there are 13 deputies. If five leave or are expelled, the parliamentary group dissolves because it needs at least 10 deputies to exist. And if 6 people vote with GERB and DPS, this means a majority of 121 deputies who can elect a government.

"Mikhailov is a member of the party, how to exclude, who to exclude", commented Markov on this occasion. And he added that there is no way a "ordinary member" to exclude deputies. "Maybe he said it in some emotional state. He is a pure-hearted man, absolutely genuine and full-blooded. He reacted emotionally," continued Markov condescendingly to Mihailov.

He also said that he asked Mihailov if there was evidence that the parliamentary group or people from it were bought. The businessman had no evidence.

"If his reaction is justified, it should be based on specific facts, not who dreamed what last night. If there is evidence, let him provide it," Markov also said and pointed out that Mihailov did not enter the lists of "Velichie" because he wanted to engage in entrepreneurship.

He did not have access to the information flows in the parliament, which the chairman of the party, i.e. Markov, he must report. The vote with GERB and DPS was for a "service decision" and general conclusions could not be drawn from this and it could not be overexposed. "This is very insulting to the deputies, to those who supported us, and to me as chairman," Markov pointed out.

When asked whether "Majesty" remains in his position that he will not support a government of GERB and DPS, Markov replied: "Probably, let's see how the situations will develop.
