At its meeting yesterday, the caretaker government approved framework positions for Bulgaria's participation in the Meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the NATO member countries, which will be held from July 9 to 11 in Washington, USA. This was announced by the government press service.
Positions are not published and applications are for official use only. The Cabinet proposes to the Head of State Rumen Radev to lead the Bulgarian delegation for the meeting and, in accordance with the course of the discussion, to present the framework positions adopted by the Cabinet.
As the head of our delegation and based on the framework positions, the president will be able to approve and approve the documents brought to the attention of the heads of state and government, including the final communique of the meeting.
With the government decision, the composition of our delegation in Washington was confirmed. In addition to the president and prime minister, it includes the minister of defense, the chief of defense, the permanent representative of Bulgaria to NATO, the deputy minister of foreign affairs Nevyana Miteva, the heads of the offices of the president and the prime minister, three of the secretaries of the president, directors of directorates in the Council of Ministers and other employees from our two institutions.
In this connection, a question arises - Since Radev is the head of the Bulgarian delegation, why is Dimitar Glavchev going to Washington? The only reasonable answer is to explore the American capital as a tourist.
