Political scientists Teodora Yovcheva and Milen Zhelev united on the air of Euronews Bulgaria that is "baking" a new political project around Delyan Peevski.
"It will not be the end of these politicians," commented Yovcheva. "Such a project is being baked at the moment, there are serious corporate resources. The difference between the two warring parties in the DPS is that Dogan is still in the hearts of the old dispatchers," Zhelev said for his part.
According to the two, there is "more about corporate interests than ethnic problems" in the discord in the DPS. There are probably other things going into this rift. The ethnic thesis is used for justifications for things that happen, not so much for real conflict.
And regarding the second and third terms for forming a cabinet, which the president is about to hand over, Yovcheva commented that "it is not even a thought, the next elections are being thought about, not a third term. This is my gut feeling". ,
According to Zhelev, fragmentation will occur not only in political formations, but also in a new parliament.
"My opinion is that DPS has not been able to escape its image of an ethnic party over the years," he said.
According to him, PP-DB will propose a cabinet, "but let's hope it will be reasonable and responsible." Their internal struggles make a mockery of their voters.
