This is what the international security expert Slavcho Velkov said in the program "The Day ON AIR". on the occasion of the killing of the shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, who tried to kill Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump's official interpreter during meetings with Bulgarian leaders Dr. Yonko Mermerski pointed out that Crooks was the only one - he was bullied in high school.
"We have an unrealized young man who is without a cause and decides to save the world from evil. This is the most innocent version. It is fueled by hate speech - by those who call for no hate speech. Trump is accused of using the judicial system to defeat his political opponents," commented Dr. Mermerski to Bulgaria ON AIR.
He explained that with an optical weapon, once you've got the target, if it moves, you can't find it through the optics. Then it takes time to re-target a person. The shooter was killed in seconds. According to Dr. Mermerski, Crooks was in their sights even before he pulled the trigger, but they didn't shoot him immediately.
According to Velkov, Crooks was an active member of a shooting club and trained. Dr. Mermerski added that he had perfect aim.
"Biden canceled his visit to Paris and his participation in the opening of the Olympics. He is sending his daughter because he is scared," noted Velkov.
Regarding the debate between Biden and Trump, Dr. Mermersky pointed out that the United States has been hiding a person for five years "who has senile dementia, pumping him with vitamins and stimulants".
"Biden was given all the questions he was going to be asked, and he still couldn't react," Dr. Mermerski added.
He recalled Trump's promise that if he was elected president, before he even took office, he would end the war in Ukraine.
