There won't be a government with a second term, I think there won't be a third either. We are going to elections, predicts the political scientist Alexander Marinov in an interview with BNR.
To postpone the delivery of the second mandate to form a government, this is a very exotic proposal, even by the high Bulgarian standards of exoticism in politics, he assessed the request of PP-DB to the president. p>
„I think that the president should have drawn their attention to the fact that the constitutional meaning of his opportunities to maneuver is limited under Art. 99 of the Constitution. So asking for 3 months to pass legislation is completely different. We are getting to the wisdom about the lying shepherd“, commented Alexander Marinov.
According to him, the PP-DB statements look like preparations for the next election campaign, and are not so realistic with plans and steps.
„We all know what the balance of power and relationships are in the National Assembly. For what they are talking about, getting a majority is unrealistic. Didn't they have an assembly, a majority, a constitutional majority, and they are the same personal participants. Will the sea sour? I do not know! It should be quickly clarified by PP-DB. There can be no question of postponing the mandate even for weeks”, commented the political scientist.
For him, it is strange that PP-DB is trying by introducing draft laws and draft decisions. “Sit down at the table and negotiate, what is there to wait for months”, he recommended.
And he thinks that the second mandate is also unfeasible from the PP-DB.
„And the third will not take place and we are going to elections”, predicted Alexander Marinov.
Who will be awarded the third mandate, he commented:
"It depends on the president's point of view. I believe that Bulgaria does not need any kind of government, it needs a working one. It means a compact majority, behind it, a clear plan, etc."
The political scientist said, it makes sense to try to give an opportunity to a party that has constructive views and has shown what it can and cannot do.
And recommended that new consultations be held with the president with specific intentions.
About the split in the DPS, he said that it is unlikely that Peevski will leave him in the party.
„Whether there will be elections in 2 or 4 months, a serious party cannot be formed in such a short time, even if your name is Delyan Peevski.
I don't think that the first mandate was the reason for the breakdown of the DPS“, added Alexander Marinov.
According to him, PP-DB have also not overcome the crisis and have serious problems.
