The two helicopters from the Czech Republic landed at Plovdiv Airport, the chairman of the board of directors of the airport Doychin Angelov told BTA.
Yesterday, acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, who visited Stara Zagora because of the fire near the city, announced that all possible mechanisms have been activated to deal with the situation with the flames in the country, including the European Union. "We have assurances from the Czech Republic, from Romania they say they are ready", he commented.
In the words of the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs ch. commissioner Dimitar Kangaldzhiev, who visited the fire near the Yambol village of Voden, helicopters from the Czech Republic will not be involved in fighting the fire today. The reason is that their flights take place during the daylight hours.
