Yotova: The good news is that the parties in the National Assembly are willing to talk about the PP-DB declaration - 1

After today's meetings, I have one good news for myself – the political parties represented in the parliament, the parliamentary groups, are willing to discuss the declaration proposed by PP-DB. This is what Vice President Iliyana Yotova commented to journalists in Sozopol about the talks held by "We are continuing the change-Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) for the draft declaration presented by them for exiting the political crisis, broadcast by BTA.

It is good to have this discussion, whether or not this declaration will be accepted. This is still a desire for dialogue between the political formations, added the vice president. Yes, of course, each formation presents its priorities, as, for example, the BSP did, who rightly say that in addition to these priorities there are others, much more important, which are on the agenda of the people, he added Yotova.

Not all parties, as you know, responded, some very categorically refused, but whatever happens with this declaration, even the fact that these problems are being discussed, even at these meetings, is already a step in the right direction, added the vice president .

As for forming a government and an expected majority, I am not optimistic after what I heard today, commented the vice president. In the coming days, the president will decide when and how to deliver the mandate, and it is unlikely that any political force will be able to tell him when to finish this, although such voices were also heard today, Yotova added.

According to Iliyana Yotova, Bulgaria needs stability, because the change of governments, the general insecurity of the country has made it so that in a crisis situation everything was left in the hands of the local authorities, who still have limited options. And we left everything to the heroism, I am not afraid to say this word, to the heroism of the people who are in this fiery hell, Yotova also said.

At the moment, all of us in Bulgaria expect an hour sooner to deal with the huge fires that are raging throughout the country, and which, unfortunately, are not only not limited, but are increasing. This is how Vice President Iliyana Yotova commented on the topic of the ongoing fight against the fire. According to her, what has been seen in recent days shows the general state in which the country is - lack of coordination between institutions, lack of prevention, lack of notifying people so that measures can be taken. In fact, we rely solely on the valiant people who work in the fire stations and the Bulgarian Army to deal with this situation, she commented.

Iliyana Yotova also said that it still seems inexplicable to her that the Bulgarian government has not sent a detailed letter to the European Crisis Management and Protection Coordination Center and to the Civil Protection Mechanism not only to send the helicopters, which we expect from the Czech Republic, but also to receive additional equipment. According to her, the signals and analyzes of this coordination center, which has a huge array of information for early warning, and which can save us from subsequent fires, with which we will deal with more and more difficulty, can also be requested.

The Vice President recalled that back in 2018, then due to the floods, President Rumen Radev proposed to create a National Coordination Center for Disasters, Accidents and Crises. "Unfortunately, it was not heard,", Yotova also said. If we had this structure today, there would not be this disagreement between the institutions, the early warning system would work, we would receive information faster by satellite and according to the "Copernicus" system - I think that such disasters would not have happened, she added.
