The chairman of the DPS Delyan Peevski said that the president is not in his place.
"He went to a reception, the man walks around, the National Security Council does not convene, the country is on fire, said Peevski, quoted by Dariknews.bg.
"I think it is right, the DPS will bring it to the Speaker of the Parliament shortly - to have a Presidential Council where we can invite the responsible ministers, see what the state needs, if a budget adjustment is needed made a proposal to the IC, to buy helicopters, to allocate funds", he said.
"The situation is monstrous. People are suffering, the state must be in place, the government is in place. The prime minister, the interior minister, the defense minister - people worked, but they have nothing to work with. There are no cars. For me, the situation is brutal from a technical point of view," Peevski added.
He thanked Turkey for the help. "We are a parliamentary republic and we must be in our place," he said.
In his words, people can be helped with the Commission for Disasters and Accidents, which is in the Ministry of the Interior, to provide them with funds to restore their houses, to compensate for their animals.
