Ivelin Mihailov: The park is coming to an end, I am banned from creative activity

I fought for many years, believing that with a personal example I would be able to discover the lost Bulgarian spirit, but alas, so far I have not succeeded. I have defeated petty gangs on the internet, I have dealt with major crime in the area, I have defeated local and national politicians, but I have failed to find the Bulgarian spirit that is ready to fight for its kind and homeland

Ivelin Mihailov: The park is coming to an end, I am banned from creative activity - 1

The Park and all that I do is at an end, for I am forbidden any commercial and creative activity which might generate me funds with which to continue the struggle. People want me to be a superman, to find a way to earn money, to invest it in the fight for them and Bulgaria, to resist being slandered, sued and persecuted by criminal politicians, but I myself lose the meaning of doing something that has no to serve no one, because if people saw meaning in these things of mine, they would use what I created and so it would have the financial right to exist.

This is what the ideologue of the party "Greatness" wrote on his Facebook page. Ivelin Mihailov. Here is the full text of his post:

For years, there have been constant accusations against me and the Historical Park that this is not a site of national importance, but a private project that was made for profit.
Already in 2019, I realized that envy is stronger than the feeling of unity and national pride, so I announced even then that I will never take profit from the park, but will donate all my money to education, culture, entrepreneurship and other activities , with which to improve Bulgaria. Even later I decided that all my assets (if I have any left) one day I will donate them to a foundation to serve people who work for the benefit and development of the Motherland, and I will not leave them to my children . Everyone who knows me knows that I live modestly, and my children are taught to live an ordinary life and do not think of themselves as anything special.
However, various media and detractors managed to suggest to the Bulgarian people that I do everything for money and whoever comes to the park is giving money to me, not for something useful for all of us. This unleashed a wave of mixed feelings, and despite my best efforts by deeds to show that we really thought about our country, the park became a byword for something bad and a fraud. I want to draw attention to the fact that the Historical Park belongs to the people, because it was built thanks to small investors, I am the big investor and I donated my income from it to the people. Notice how much money is spent every year on visits to discos, restaurants, water parks, concerts and many other entertainments, but it turned out that the entrance to culture, pride and unity is too expensive, the place is too far and a thousand other excuses. It's clear to me that when a person has a will, he finds a way, and when he doesn't – makes excuses, so I don't blame anyone for it. It turns out that there really is no need for things that develop the person and his soul, which is one of the benefits in all this activity. The community did not support the Historical Park and did not feel it its own. It saddens me that in Serbia, in a small place, where you pass through a giant dump, more than 120,000 Serbian children and youth go to form their national identity, and the place is not even Serbian, but Roman. In Bulgaria, we made a miracle that has no analogues in the whole world, and it turned out that the people who really need it are about 30,000.
I struggled for many years, believing that with a personal example I would be able to discover the lost Bulgarian spirit, but alas, so far I have not succeeded. I have defeated petty gangs on the Internet, I have dealt with major crime in the area, I have defeated local and national politicians, but I have failed to find the Bulgarian spirit that is ready to fight for its kind and homeland. I don't want to I blame no one, and if I offend anyone, I am obviously a lonely idealist.
The park and everything I do is coming to an end because I am banned from any commercial and creative activity that could generate funds for me to continue the fight.
We made the park the most beautiful so that it could awaken the highest in the Bulgarian, and he said it was expensive, although it was much cheaper than a water park or a concert. We made unique events at a price of 20 BGN, which included a program 10 times higher than ordinary performances that cost 100 BGN, but people still said – why isn't he out of money. The whole job turned into a constant struggle where I had to explain everything.
I don't want to fight anymore for something that people don't need, and I'll give them a chance to decide for themselves if it makes sense. Let everyone who sees sense in a Historical Park buy a ticket for themselves or for someone who does not have the opportunity to buy a bottle of our wines, a historical illustrated book or a souvenir. Let him visit our guest houses, send his children to a camp or use one of our services this month and show us by deeds that what we do makes sense. Don't think you're helping me – as I said, I won't get any profit from the park, I don't want that. Show whether it makes sense to fight for Bulgaria and whether we will become a people again, or is it all over. A historical park is the true beacon of hope in these difficult times, and its fate is now in your hands.
