The last Bulgarian officer who took part in the Second World War died  - 1

Just a few days before he turned 101, the last graduate of His Majesty's Military School (MHMSU) passed away – captain Atanas Ilev.

In addition to being a graduate of VNVU, he is also the last Bulgarian officer who participated in the Second World War.

Captain Ilev left on the eve of the great Ilinden holiday.

„Gone is a brave and valiant officer - with high morals, an unwavering sense of justice and an indomitable spirit, a good man, the last knight. Eternal memory to him!”, reports the organization “One Covenant”.

Captain Iliev was a Knight of the Order “For Courage”, writes BGNES.
