Glavchev: Those who lost their homes due to the fire will also be accommodated in hotels - 1

The people who lost their homes due to the forest fires in the country will be accommodated in vans and hotels. Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said this before the start of today's government meeting, quoted from novini.bg.

He added that the vans are in very good condition and they will meet all requirements, as they will have a stove, air conditioning and a bathroom.

Meanwhile, we are also preparing a program for accommodation in hotels, for which there is a need, since an opposition has arisen in society between the accommodation of Ukrainian refugees in hotels and the victims of the fires – in vans. Here, now they will be able to benefit from the same conditions that the Ukrainian refugees received. There will be an opportunity for them to be accommodated in hotels, Prime Minister Glavchev commented, noting that Ukrainians are still refugees fleeing the war in their homeland.
Regarding the financial assistance from the state in connection with the fire disaster, Dimitar Glavchev explained that three ministries are now underway – social, financial and agricultural, so that the aid provided by law can reach the needy as quickly as possible.

„It can now be said that the fires are under control. There is no active fire on the territory of Bulgaria. Most importantly, there were no human casualties. If everyone can humble themselves and act together, then the results will be much, much better“, noted the acting Prime Minister.

Of the social benefits, BGN 1,578 is planned for the most urgent needs and BGN 2,500 for furniture.

Farmers are also provided with aid, even for those who are not registered as farmers, but have lost animals as a result of the fires.

Regarding the appointment of Nikolay Nenchev as ambassador to Kyiv, Glavchev assured that all procedures were followed.

The caretaker government has not proposed anyone for a permanent post, driven by the fact that it has no business sending ambassadors. Our country has not had an ambassador in Ukraine for two years. There was an interim ruler without diplomatic rank, we held a competition for an interim ruler. No one appeared at an internal competition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explained the prime minister, and pointed out that Nikolay Nenchev won the next external competition.
