Bulgaria will request a convergent report for admission to the Eurozone on July 1, 2025 This is what the National Assembly decided, Nova TV reports.
The Convergence Report provides an assessment of the progress of non-euro area EU Member States, with the exception of Denmark, which has an opt-out clause, in meeting the criteria for adopting the euro. It is published at least once every two years or at the request of an EU member state wishing to join the euro area.
Bulgaria is expected to meet the price stability criterion by the end of the year, after which it will request the EC and the ECB to prepare an extraordinary convergence report, the Ministry of Finance said earlier.< /p>
