DPS Chairman Jevdet Chakarov announced that there is unprecedented pressure on people's representatives who are not members of the Movement's parliamentary group.
Chakarov specified that they received information about a meeting between the anti-corruption commission, the National Revenue Agency and the acting Minister of Finance, at which it was ordered to start massive inspections of people's representatives from the DPS - without Delyan Peevski and his group.
Chakarov asked Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ludmila Petkova whether there really was such a meeting:
"And if there was, who initiated this meeting and for what reason? Was there an outsider during the meeting? What are the prerequisites for carrying out these checks. What is the reason for ordering these checks now? What makes the IRS screen exactly those 25 or so people? Are these checks inspired by specific political figures?".
