61 hours have passed since warehouses were blown up for fireworks at Elin Pelin Station. The situation is gradually normalizing, bTV reported.

No new explosions are heard. Crews have not yet entered the warehouses as 24 hours have passed since the last blast. Then the investigation into the causes of the explosion will begin.

Two people are still missing – The 20-year-old son of the warehouse owner and a 60-year-old man. There are two confirmed victims after the explosions near Elin Pelin Station. On Thursday evening, 48-year-old associate professor Dr. Petar Shishkov, who taught at the University of Mining and Geology and was a world-renowned scientist and consultant, died.

His 20-year-old daughter, Kristin Shishkova, died on Saturday. “Chrissy's soul went to her dad that night. I thank everyone who tried to help her - the doctors, the blood donors, the entire staff of the Pirogov hospital. and to the people who prayed for her. Rest in peace, my dears“, Kristin's mother Violeta Yugova-Shishkova wrote on social networks after the tragedy.

BNT reports that the remaining explosions continue this night as well. The balance of the fourth day after the explosion is two dead and two missing. The Ministry of Defense commented that from the moment it is possible to enter the warehouse, the military will seize all pyrotechnic devices. The investigation to the warehouse of the large food chain has ended. The atmosphere is calm in the village of Gara Elin Pelin and Elin Pelin. People are gradually returning to normal life, the television reports.
