The Bulgarian tourism business with a call: Do not make unjustified changes of ministers - 1

Bulgarian tourism business appeals to the nominee for acting prime minister, Gorica Grancharova– Kozhareva – do not make unreasonable changes of ministers! This is stated in an official position to the media from the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants, the Association of Restaurants in Bulgaria and the Branch Association of Restaurateurs - Sofia.

We are not interested in anyone's political games. But we are adamant that the uncertainty in the country is detrimental to Bulgarian business. The change of ministers in 3-4 months ruins the Bulgarian economy.

We don't have time to constantly meet with newly appointed managers. Whatever experts they are, it takes them months to get into the specifics of their work.

We have held a series of meetings to address the huge issue of visas for non-European Union employees. We met with the Minister of the Interior, of Tourism, with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and numerous agencies. We received support from the National Assembly for legal changes as well.

Unfortunately, the problem has not yet been resolved and many of the contracted employees still do not have a work permit.

And after the signals of the last days, it appears that at the height of the summer season, everything will start from the beginning.

We managed to negotiate with the Ministry of Energy and the National Assembly compensations for the extremely high electricity bills. The bills are coming in, but the compensation is still not there.

Business has no time for experiments and political games. In this uncertain environment, we need elementary predictability and expertise.

So we strongly request – replace ministers for failing to do their jobs, not under political pressure. Business has no time for political games!, concludes the position of the branch organizations.
