A fire broke out in a field between the metropolitan district "Hristo Botev" and Sofia Airport, near the Eastern Tangent.
Flames engulf dry grasses. Tires and waste are also burning, bTV reports.
Teams of the fire department and the Emergency Assistance and Prevention of the Capital Municipality are on the spot.
No people were injured. There are no violations in the flight schedule, said Sofia Airport.
