Inspections of the institutions and the investigation continue in the home for the elderly in Bankya, where a fire broke out, NOVA reported.
The fire claimed one life and injured three others on Wednesday afternoon.
Subsequently, it became clear that the facility was operating illegally. The inspections started already in June by the Agency for the Quality of Social Services. Then it was established that 11 people with health problems lived in the home. The manager of the unregulated home was detained.
After the fire, some of the people were accommodated in a home for the elderly in the capital's "Zone B-5" district. Others, according to NOVA, are located in a building on "Pirotska" street.
