There are the beginnings of a constitutional crisis. No one sees a way out that makes sense for everyone. Rumen Radev's moves are clear - whatever consultations he does, they will be with the same political entities. Everyone deepens in their desire to impose their own position. This is what journalist Valeria Veleva said in the program "The Day ON AIR".
According to her, politicians are in "absolute enmity with each other" and there is no prospect of uniting.
"Radev has two moves. One is to propose to Glavchev again. The other is to offer it to Petar Chobanov, who today expressed a desire to take responsibility, Veleva explained.
Is a constitutional crisis looming?
According to the sociologist from "Market Links" Dobromir Zhivkov, it is important to think about why it has come to this.
"The constitutional changes that were made in the part limiting the rights of the president were too aimed at solving a specific political problem that was tried to be solved through the Constitution. A solution was found that obviously doesn't work. This is the great responsibility of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB), that then they adopted such an innovative approach in constructing the distribution of power positions and roles in the state", he commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.
Veleva defined today's situation with the head of state as unprecedented.
"We have one person who opposed President Radev directly. He tried to apply a racket. Isn't this a division in the army? The behavior of Mrs. Kozhareva - I saw how she behaved like a man. This woman is becoming a future president. He showed his face, his name, his principles, he showed an upright figure," the journalist analyzed.
Will we get out of the crisis?
"The crisis seeks its solutions in different directions. One of them is for the political elite to try to restructure the rules of the state precisely through changes in the Constitution, which are obviously not going as they should. The political situation is like this - a change of political elites, there is no possibility of reaching an agreement, each party looks narrowly at what is happening in the country. We are witnessing a time apart in the most shadowy areas of Bulgarian politics, where two big clans are fighting", stressed Zhivkov.
Kalin Stoyanov has a chance for a political career if he is "thrown out of the Ministry of Internal Affairs", predicts Veleva: "He won't give up, he has the will. If he is thrown out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he will be the new political star.
Her interlocutor is of the opposite opinion. According to Zhivkov, there is no option for Kalin Stoyanov to continue his political career.
