The condition of the 7-year-old child remains serious, which was transported to “Pirogov” with the medical helicopter two days ago. The boy has multiple injuries after an accident on the Sofia road – Varna, in which the singer Anelia's car also took part. Yesterday she made a statement on social networks, and the child's father spoke to NOVA. The prosecutor's office in Lovech initiated pre-trial proceedings.
„I was with my two children, traveling to the village of Oreshak to take them to a fair and see their grandfather. Shortly after Bulgarian Spring, I saw a fast moving car towards me. In an instant, her headlights were in my lane and I swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision, but I couldn't completely avoid the crash. If I hadn't reacted quickly enough at that moment, I just don't know what could have happened. One of my children was thrown from the vehicle. Both were in booster seats and harnesses. I took my family out, the other child was lying on the side. Nobody got out of the opposite car to ask “People, are you alive, are you healthy, are you well?”, Nikolay Boyadzhiev said.
When asked how he reacted as a result of what happened, the man said the following:
„Still, my child was lying on the road, almost half alive. At this point one can say anything. I reacted strongly, yes. But I neither attacked anyone nor wanted to do anything. Two ambulances came, the first took my older child to the hospital because he was in a very critical condition. It still is. The second ambulance waited for us to give samples – my alcohol test was completely negative. We had to go to the police station and give a sample for drugs. I couldn't wait for the full result to come out, because the ambulance called me that we had to leave. I gave a blood sample at the hospital. "I have never used drugs in my life," Boyadzhiev explained.
And he urged: “I would say to absolutely all drivers – not specifically on this one – that no matter what happens when there is such an accident, it is purely human to check how the other party is doing. It is written in the Road Traffic Act – when there is an accident with an injured person, everyone in a better condition is obliged to help”.
Two days after the incident, Anelia also spoke about the collision on the road. “I want to say that I am very sorry for what I have been through the last few days and I am even more sorry that people are making circuses out of this incident. My child was also in the car, who went through complete hell,”, the singer said in a video on Facebook.
According to her, the father of the injured child is spreading lies. “Yes, we didn't go to help because the father was going through some sort of shock, he started kicking the car, threatening to kill us, break the glass”, explained the pop folk star.
According to Anelia, the man tested positive for amphetamine use.
