The governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Dimitar Radev refused to accept the post of acting prime minister. This became clear from his words to journalists after a meeting with "Dondukov" 2 with President Rumen Radev, Novini.bg.
reportedThis is happening for the second time. Dimitar Radev's first refusal was during the consultations before Dimitar Glavchev was appointed acting prime minister.
We had a good and serious discussion on a wide range of topics. Of course, the focus was on what was going on at the moment with the election of a caretaker prime minister. My position is unchanged – that the Bulgarian National Bank, in general, and even more so the governor, should not be involved in the political process, emphasized Radev.
As a continuation of the constitutional procedure for appointing a caretaker government, the president will have meetings and talks today with those defined in art. 99, para. 5 persons from the Constitution who can be appointed acting prime minister, announced the press office of the president.
Earlier today, the president met with acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. If the president decides on the option of me being a candidate for the next acting prime minister, I am ready and there are no obstacles to that, Glavchev told journalists after the meeting.
