Incident in Sofia. Pieces of plaster fell from the ceiling of the underpass to the Central Bus Station. Fortunately, no one was injured, bTV reports.
„Similar incident is not happening for the first time in this place”, explained the regional mayor of the “Serdika” Momchil Daskalov.
According to him, the reason lies in the leaks that are connected to the road surface and the tram route on the “Maria Luisa“ boulevard.
The area is now secured.
„Unfortunately, this is a heavy legacy and these ceilings and subways are extremely compromised”, Momchil Daskalov also said and added:
“We have a meeting with the company with whom we have a contract for the maintenance of the area and we will find some technical solution to clean the dangerous parts of the ceiling and somehow secure them with nets.“
