Filip Popov: Atanas Zafirov should register BSP for the elections

This is a precedent since the BSP was registered. For more than 30 years, there has been no such thing - not a single chairman of the party has allowed such a thing. But the BSP took the direction of consolidation. We currently want to sign a coalition agreement with over 20 parties. BSP will register as BSP, the question is why these obstacles are created, commented the socialist

Filip Popov: Atanas Zafirov should register BSP for the elections - 1

Cornelia Ninova was expelled from BSP. This happened after a decision of the National Council.

"There is a solution to every drama. Once a solution cannot be found out of duty and morality, then it is normal to turn to the law and the appropriate court. Sooner or later there will be a solution. BSP will be registered by its i.f. chairman, who was elected absolutely legitimately by the National Council and to whom this task was assigned - Atanas Zafirov. He should register the BSP for participation in the upcoming elections," said the member of the National Council of the BSP Filip Popov in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".

According to him, there were over 120 people at the National Council.

"BSP has not had such a National Council since its establishment. The exclusion of Cornelia Ninova was taken with an extremely large majority - 105 members. It is important that the National Council is a party body that expresses its will. BSP members from all over Bulgaria participate in it, this same council supported Ninova's decisions as the party's chairman," added Popov for Bulgaria ON AIR.

"This is a precedent since the BSP was registered. For more than 30 years, there has been no such thing - not a single chairman of the party has allowed such a thing. But the BSP took the direction of consolidation. We currently want to sign a coalition agreement with over 20 parties. BSP will register as BSP, the question is why these obstacles are being created", commented the socialist.
BSP hopes for a quick decision from the Supreme Court

According to Popov, if the BSP fails to register, there will be upheavals, including political ones.

"We do not want to make the Supreme Court or any court in Bulgaria a participant in the electoral process. We hope for a quick resolution. Both Svilenski and Chenchev to withdraw their complaint. I appealed to them not to jeopardize the participation of the party. All this thing leads to a heavy result for BSP, it is not positive. But the consolidation process, which has already started, is irreversible," Philip Popov emphasized.

According to him, at the moment the party does not have a useful move.

"When you are attacked and sabotaged like this, what can you do? I have been silent for long enough and there was not a single bad word from these now former comrades, but we cannot let the BSP be bullied like this. This is unacceptable. The agreement with the other left-wing parties will be signed on Thursday. The point is to create a united front and for all left-wing parties to unite against this sloppiness that is happening in the state," the guest added.
