"I want to call on colleagues from GERB in the remaining time of this parliament to adopt the three anti-corruption laws". This was stated by Asen Vassilev from PP-DB to journalists, quoted by novini.bg
He appealed to Boyko Borisov's party to adopt the laws on the recovery plan. Otherwise, the leader of GERB should come out and say: These laws worry us that if they are adopted, we will be caught for corruption. Or to say that it is really for the European development of Bulgaria and we will adopt these laws. One law is the one on whistleblowing, which was adopted, but GERB added an amendment that if the whistleblower was filed for a violation committed before 2021, there would be no protection. The restriction must be removed and the whistleblower must be protected.
According to Vassilev, these laws will unlock the money for fast trains, helicopters, classrooms in schools.
"Finally, those 12 billion that we are waiting for will come, and not Borisov and GERB to block them because they are afraid and hide in all kinds of bushes, villages and palanquins,", he added .
From "Continuing the Change" they also want to pass the transparent rules for electing people in the anti-corruption commission.
"That a match is not arranged, but that civil organizations can also have a hearing, and that it be a real competitive process for this post,", he further specified.
