From the office of the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova says that tomorrow they will demand an answer from President Rumen Radev as to why the Macedonian flag was not placed in the general photo.
„The meeting and joint lunch took place in an extremely friendly atmosphere, from beginning to end. What cast a shadow over the event was the deviation from the agreed protocol for the meeting, according to which there were to be no photos in the closed space“, Davkova's office emphasizes.
The shared photo was not intended or agreed upon, they added.
„Unfortunately, before the start of the meeting, President Radev invited the President for a joint photo in front of the Bulgarian flag, although such a move and action was neither foreseen nor agreed upon. We would like to believe that this is a protocol oversight and not a deliberate procedure and deviation from what was agreed upon. Tomorrow we will ask for an explanation from the Bulgarian side”, adds Davkova's office.
Yesterday, the President of North Macedonia was on an unofficial visit to Sofia, during which he met with President Rumen Radev. In the evening, Davkova attended the performance of the National Opera and Ballet from Skopje.
