The political scientist Ivo Indjov made this prediction to the BNR.
"The two formations will receive a total of less than DPS in the previous elections. The split effect will dissuade some ordinary voters from voting.... No matter how much there is a controlled vote and instruments of influence in the municipalities, the electorate still perceives Dogan as an icon - a founder, as some mystical figure, although he did not knows how much for DPS from one moment on", commented the political scientist.
According to him, it will be a victory for PP-DB if "after the negatives of the assembly" in the upcoming elections do not fall below 300 thousand votes.
There is certainly tension in the BSP, the political scientist pointed out.
"It is along two lines. First - because of the very broad coalition format. The other, more important tension is due to growing doubts that under the new leadership of the BSP there is a rather strong influence of Peevski in the party itself, and some of the coalition partners have already indicated specific names of list leaders - iconic figures from the BSP who play in Peevski's camp - Kiril Dobrev and Dragomir Stoynev are mentioned, but at this point these are speculations", summarized Ivo Injov.
In his words, if the BSP takes more than 5% in the upcoming early vote, "it will have to count this as a success".
According to the political scientist, the fact that Delyan Peevski will not be the leader of the list of "DPS - New Beginning" in Kardzhali, it is indicative that perhaps he is worried about a weaker result in the DPS bastion.
