Peevski: Bulgaria should immediately declare Nikoloski a persona non grata! - 1

The co-chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) and the parliamentary group of the DPS Delyan Peevski called for decisive action against the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of the Republic of North Macedonia (RSM) Alexander Nikoloski. The reason for this is the systematic manifestations of hostility towards Bulgaria on the part of the senior Macedonian politician.

"If there are adequate state institutions and services in Bulgaria, the deputy prime minister and transport minister of the RSM, Alexander Nikoloski, should be immediately declared persona non grata," said Peevski. He emphasized that this is the minimum reaction that would be adequate to the situation.

The DPS leader expressed serious concern about the behavior of Hristo Mickoski's government in Skopje, calling it pro-Russian. According to Peevski, the arrogance demonstrated towards Bulgaria is a direct response to the firm Euro-Atlantic position of our country.

"We insist on immediate measures in response to the provocations, which should be consistent and decisive,", emphasized the chairman of the DPS. He added that the situation had already escalated to the point where a simple apology would not be enough to resolve the issue.

Peevski emphasizes the value dimension of the conflict, opposing Euro-Atlantic democracies to anti-democratic, pro-Putin tendencies. "As a European country, we cannot remain passive or pseudo-diplomatic, but must protect the honor and dignity of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian citizens," he stressed.

In conclusion, the DPS leader warned that the lack of an adequate response could legitimize pro-Russian influence in the heart of Europe.
