We decided not to pay attention to what others are doing – this is the strategy and tactics of every party. That's why we put mayors as candidates for MPs for the first time - not only because of their good performance in local elections, but local government depends on central government and having put them in front, I can only guarantee the cities if the local government does well. We can guarantee the local authority at least that what is submitted as projects will happen. Otherwise, nothing will happen. 4 years nothing happens, one year in Sofia, one year in Varna nothing happens. A subway is being built – which we designed. Only what we have started is being built. It is no coincidence that Sofia's capital program is not implemented because they do not know what they are doing. We want to give guarantees and solutions, said Borisov.
That is why in this campaign we will do two things that we have proven to be the strongest, he added.
The first is security - and at the moment Bulgaria is the safest country, from the momentum we have made. They gave me an example from both the White House and Brussels. If the Bulgarians do not bet on GERB, the relocation of migrants will begin. Germany, Austria and Hungary will send whatever they catch inside to Bulgaria and Greece. The Bulgarians will be bitterly sorry, thousands of migrants will be sent back to us. But they are also right – in the last 4 years, Bulgaria has been a broken yard. This is the number one topic.
The second thing GERB has done is education – not just the doubling of teacher salaries, but everything done for the schools - like programs, like funding. We are extremely strong there and will build on it. We will build everything else on that. People know that we will build highways and that we will rehabilitate, the GERB leader pointed out.
I listened yesterday to various analysts talking about what Bulgaria used to be like. Only 4 years ago, Bulgaria was the sole leader of the Balkans. You destroyed the state. They came to learn from Boyko and from us. All things about the Balkans happened in Varna and Sofia, noted Boyko Borisov.
