Executive agency “Medical supervision” appointed an inspection in the case of a stillborn baby and a woman in serious condition in Sliven, the institution announced.
The case is from the Sliven SAGBAL “EVA” private hospital.
A 31-year-old woman in labor went regularly to the hospital for two weeks, but was returned by the doctor monitoring the pregnancy with the argument that the child's size was small. The woman's lawyer added that she was returned from the medical facility 3-4 times, during which time she was given an injection for the growth of the baby.
In the end, the doctors deliver a dead baby, and the mother's life is put at risk. The inspection was ordered by the executive director of the IA “Medical Supervision” Ivanka Dineva after a televised report on the case.
After its completion, the Minister of Health Galya Kondeva and the public will be informed of the results, the agency adds.
